I’m Nancy Varallo. I’ve been a court reporter since 1979, and during that time I’ve trained more reporters than I can count. I’ve served as an advisory board member to two court reporting schools. I’ve taught theory and speedbuilding classes and given seminars for agencies, my state association, and the National Court Reporters Association. I’ve served on boards, task forces, and committees in my state and for NCRA. Currently, I’m NCRA’s president-elect.
You can imagine how many questions I’ve fielded in my three decades. When it occurred to me that others might benefit from my answers to these questions, I started collecting them in order to share with you. I hope my answers are thought-provoking and informative, penned with a touch of playfulness for ballast. My long experience is my guide. I offer no legal, financial, or professional advice.
